Honey Chop Lite & Healthy - 15kg

Honeychop Lite & Healthy – 15kg is a low-calorie chopped fibre feed for horses, ponies and donkeys that maintain weight easily or need a controlled sugar-and-starch intake. It combines sun-dried oat straw and timothy grass with a light coating of linseed and rapeseed oils, plus real herbs, cinnamon and marigold flowers for natural aroma and variety.

Ingredients and typical analysis

Published ingredients: oat straw, timothy grass, linseed and rapeseed oil, marigold flowers, limestone, cinnamon, thyme, oregano, mint and basil. Manufacturer analysis: 31% fibre, 4% protein, 3.1% total sugar, 0.5% starch and 8MJ/kg digestible energy. Free from added molasses, soya and artificial additives.

Feeding and suitability

Use as a chopped fibre component to add chewing time and bulk to an appropriately balanced forage ration, particularly for good doers, natives and horses or ponies prone to laminitis. The manufacturer also recommends it for those with EMS or PPID as part of a suitable overall diet. Provide adequate long-stem forage and vitamin/mineral balance, and introduce changes gradually. Honeychop does not recommend Lite & Healthy for pregnant or lactating mares. It is not a treatment for laminitis or metabolic disease.
