Topspec Hi-Fibre Mash - 20kg

TopSpec High Fibre Mash is a soft, satisfying, low-calorie mash for horses and ponies, especially good doers that already obtain enough energy from forage. It provides a generous volume of highly digestible fibre without the calories of a conditioning feed and can also help increase water intake.

Suitable for

• Good doers needing a low-sugar, low-starch feed or a palatable carrier for balancers and supplements.
• Horses and ponies that prefer a soaked feed or have difficulty chewing.
• Supporting hydration during travel or colder weather.
• Partial forage replacement where suitable and professionally advised.

The cereal-grain-free blend includes soya hulls, high-fibre oat by-product, beet pulp, linseed expeller and grass. It contains added calcium, magnesium and sodium but no added vitamins or trace elements; use alongside a suitable balancer or broad-spectrum supplement as advised by TopSpec.

Protein 12%; oil 3.5%; fibre 23%; starch 6.5%; digestible energy 10.8 MJ/kg; calcium 1%; magnesium 0.3%.

Preparation

Soak before feeding: add approximately two parts clean water to one part dry mash and allow five minutes for it to soften. Adjust consistency as needed. TopSpec states that the recommended wet mix supplies approximately 3.5 MJ/kg as fed. Introduce changes gradually and always provide fresh drinking water.
