ThunderBrook Organic Meadow Nuts - 20kg
Thunderbrook Organic Meadow Nuts are a certified-organic, forage-based feed made from mature meadow grasses and herbage grown without synthetic fertilisers, herbicides or pesticides. The traditional, diverse meadow grasses are gently dried and compressed into nuts that soften into an easy-to-eat mash when soaked.
Why choose Organic Meadow Nuts?
- Made from 100% dried organic meadow grasses and herbage, with no added molasses or cereal grains.
- High in natural fibre and suitable for use as a forage-based feed or partial forage replacer where appropriate.
- Useful for older horses or ponies with poor dentition when thoroughly soaked.
- Can be used as a base for other feed or supplements, or as part of a managed low-starch diet.
- Natural grass composition varies by harvest and batch.

Preparation and feeding
Soak thoroughly in clean water before feeding until the nuts have fully softened into a safe mash, especially for horses that bolt food or have dental problems. Thunderbrook's example daily dry-weight amounts range from around 0.5kg for a 500kg horse in light work to 2.5–5kg in medium or hard work; these are guides, not a complete ration. Balance the overall diet and provide constant access to fresh water.
